to amsterdam, to amsterdam, to buy a pack weed, home again, home again, dancing a jig.

Last Sunday, we went to Amsterdam. Being in Amsterdam brought back memories when Cheryl, Cathy and I were here last year. It was around the same date when we were here meeting Suki and Jessica. I looked at the same central station we traveled to from Schiphol airport. I walked down the same street where we bought fries with mayonnaise. We went to the flower market and I saw the same flower shops we dropped by. I'm not sure if I remember correctly but I think we bought wooden tulips for Lucia, Han Ling and Esvi. I even tried to look around for the Singapore Girl boat but I couldn't spot it. I remember the amazing Anne Frank Museum, drinking pea soup and walking through the red light district, though it was still too early and we couldn't stay late because we had to return early to catch our flight back to Singapore.

Wonder how everyone is doing back home. Hope everything is well and good!

This time round, we went to the red light district after sunset and it looked really different. We also went to the I Amsterdam statue and the Van Gogh museum, which was the best catch of the day, though I wish I had more time there.

I took this in 2008.

And this last week!

Clean and tidy

After being in Rotterdam for about a week, it's pretty comforting to have found a dozen good friends.

Met this old lady who talked to us for half an hour straight. Most of the time, we didn't understand what she was saying.

Am having a really enjoyable time so far, besides the occasional rain and wind. Heading to Antwerpen and Brussels this weekend! :)
